While I initially was pleased with both it's cooking (browning) performance and quality, its already begun to show its low quality. The lid chipped after its second use. As the lid was not dropped or slammed.. this looks like an enamel bounding issue. The same can be said for the crack in the enamel that has developed on the underside. Other dutch ovens I have owned have not shown this type of fragility so quickly. The edge where the lid and pot meets also rusts easily. Another disappointing flaw that means you have to keep the edge oiled at all times.The handle is great and I wish all cast iron pots had such a generous loop to grab onto. My wife has weak wrists and loves this feature that make the pot lid easier to handle. She wishes the side handles were as large. I would not buy this product again if given the chance.
