This pot is a beauty! Compared to le Creuset at $120 for the size closest to this, the enamel seems just as thick and is wonderfully smooth and creamy to the touch. Even the bottom is completely enameled.The finish is not quite up to the quality of le Creuset. The lip of the pot and edge of the lid where it isn't glazed is a little rough. There was a very small, sharp bit of enamel on the lip of the pot that had not been filed off, but it came off easily with a just few swipes of my whetstone. Now it's perfect. Normally I would deduct a star for the defect in the glaze, but for this price it's such a fine little pot. It even comes with a lifetime guarantee against defects.
